Vector 1850 System Uses Heat to Keep Cool in Norway
Mar. 10 – With temperatures reaching -40°C to start the New Year, much of Norway experienced a cold spell severe enough to threaten the export of fish. Bring Frigoscandia, the largest provider of temperature-controlled transport in the Nordic region, relied on Carrier Transicold’s flagship Vector 1850 trailer refrigeration system to provide something that most customers don’t often think about – efficient heating capacity. Using the patented all-electric technology, they provide a constant source of heating capacity and eliminate 17 serviceable parts to enable fewer opportunities for breakdowns due to freezing temperatures and ice build up. 320 Vector 1850 MT systems operate on refrigerated trailers mounted on rail cars between Oslo and Rotterdam, Netherlands. “We have had no equipment breakdowns or customer complaints about the temperature inside the trailers.” said Stein Erik Gurigard, fleet manager, Bring Frigoscandia.
